As a Wastewater Designer, you will contribute to a variety of sewerage-related projects aimed at delivering sustainable outcomes for both communities and the environment, serving a mix of public and private sector clients.
Your role will involve integrating hydraulic modelling with engineering principles to support project development. You’ll need to evaluate engineering constraints and opportunities to ensure that modelling solutions are both practical and accurate.
Key responsibilities include conducting technical tasks such as hydraulic model development, model calibration and verification, feasibility studies, optioneering, and producing outline designs.
You will be expected to understand client needs and deliver work efficiently and innovatively, potentially through automation tools that enhance quality and productivity.
Maintaining high-quality deliverables is essential, supported by thorough self-review processes and proper documentation.
You will also support project management activities and play an active role in client engagement—setting clear expectations and outcomes to ensure project success.
Additionally, you will contribute to other business areas and help build and strengthen the internal team.

Take technical ownership of the design and delivery of pumping stations and water, wastewater systems, including detailed engineering aspects.
Collaborate closely with the discipline lead, project lead, cross-discipline leads, engineers, and designers to ensure seamless project integration.
Apply consistent design standards and industry best practices in alignment with the technical direction of the discipline.
Strive for engineering excellence by driving project efficiency and performance.
Ensure adherence to quality management systems, established design procedures, and project-specific standards throughout the design process.
